Jetblue Vacation Thoughts..
So I used to fly Jetblue from PDX to LGB. Unfortunately Jetblue no longer flies from Portland to Long Beach but I have racked up 185k in points and really have no where to use them as Jetblue really only flies to the New York/Boston area from Portland and I have no interest in going to the east coast.
Has anyone ever done this or have a thought on it?
I can book a Jetblue vacation originating from the east coast, Say New York. Have 1 person flight and 1 week of hotels in California using my points. I wont be actually flying from New York(I will be driving from Oregon) but I will be using points for a seat as that seems to be the only way to actually use points to book hotel nights.
If I no show the flight and just eat those points will I still have my hotel booking or does that somehow get canceled as well?
Anyone ever done this? Thoughts?

Do you have any international travel planned? You should consider using the points on a foreign partner; I think you'd get a lot more bang for your buck that way.
(I know this doesn't answer your question, but the title is literally "JBV Thoughts.." so I'm just giving my two cents

I appreciate the response but no, not really. I have a special needs child that makes trips that far away to difficult. Had thought about using the points for Hawaii but Hawaiian air rarely releases seats to Jetblue and when they do they are only available within 90 days and I cant throw together a vacation that quick with my work schedule, wifes work schedule and kids.
Just not a lot of options.

hi
the JetBlue vacations site allows booking hotel only with points. An air segment isn’t mandatory.
I tried scheduling for a few nights in Long Beach and it all worked fine.
Results link, not sure how long it will be valid.

I cant figure out how to use strictly points for hotel nights. The only option I see is Hotels + points, which allows you to purchase points at the same time you book the hotel but doesnt seem to allow you to use points to book the hotel.
Unfortunately your link isnt working so I cant see what you did.
