Current cancellation policy
 

I trust the members here first before I call JB. What is the current cancellation policy through December? I want to book a r/t flight to Fla but may have to cancel depending what is going on with the virus.
Also, it looks like they are blocking middle seats through Dec?

Fees are waived if you book a flight before February 28, 2021 (as of now). That means that if you change or cancel on any fare class, there are no change fees and you can get a travel bank credit of any difference. Note that is a credit for future travel as opposed to a refund.

Middle seat blocking is somewhat fluid. Here's the latest.

Don't rely on what phone agents tell you. Just take a peek at the B6 website.

We're waiving change/cancel fees for customers with existing bookings made through February 28, 2021. If you choose to rebook, you can do so on any flight through the end of our schedule. Fare difference may apply.
For voluntary cancellations, funds will be issued as a JetBlue Travel Bank Credit. JetBlue Vacations bookings will be issued as JetBlue Vacations Credit. Travel credits can be used for future travel to any JetBlue destination and for any traveler.

If you do book now for travel in December and then determine (outside the refund cancellation window) that you want to cancel, juts hold off until the day of travel. If B6 cancels or makes a substantial change, you are entitled to a refund. On the day of travel, if nothing has changed, you can cancel for a funny money credit and you are no worse off for having waited.

B6 repricing for Chase Travel booking
 

I bought a revenue B6 ticket through Chase travel with my UR 3 d ago, a Blue fare. The fare dropped so I'd like to cancel and get a travel credit for the difference. JetBlue of course said to call Chase. Chase said if I cancel, I'll get B6 travel credit but that if I use the credit for the lower fare, the residual would be forfeited. Is this accurate? ThePointsGuy and others don't mention this. Trying to get B6 customer support these days is 200 min on hold, they don't have a callback option, and online chat ghosts you when they realize you went through an outside agency

If the Chase credit goes to your JetBlue Travel Bank account, and we assume it would, you should be able to use it to pay for the new ticket directly at jetblue.com and then still have the remaining funds in your travel bank account for use on a future trip. Really no harm in trying regardless we would think.

I finally found an agent on the phone at Chase that told me that refunds on B6 tix go to a B6 bank that is kept at Chase, in the name of the UR holder, not the B6 flyer, though the credit goes towards the B6 flyer, if that flyer is not the Chase acct owner. They also told me that the amount is indeed forfeited if one uses the travel bank on a lesser fare.
