BOS-MSP starts 3 May 2018
JetBlue is finally launching service to Minneapolis from Boston.
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/jetbl...143000953.html
"JetBlue (JBLU) today announced it is bringing its award-winning service and low fares to Minneapolis, which will become the airline’s 65th nonstop destination from Boston Logan International Airport. The addition further strengthens JetBlue as the leading airline in Boston, serving as Logan’s largest carrier in both number of flights and customers. The airline will operate three daily roundtrip flights between Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport (MSP) and Boston Logan starting May 3, 2018. Minneapolis is the largest domestic market not served by JetBlue and seats are on sale today starting at $89 one way (a)."

Jetblue seems to dive into these new big routes with at least 3 flights out of Boston to satisfy the corporate customers. Probably the minimum they need here to compete against DL on this route. Would be interesting to see if SY will be able to stay on the route (and same with NK), since B6 is going to lower the fares here by a lot like it has on BOS-ATL.
I would think they can also enter JFK-MSP with 2 daily at some point. SY runs 3 daily and DL runs 4 daily on there along with 7 DL and 3 AA on LGA-MSP. Now that SY is becoming ULCC, no reason B6 can't pick up the niche market SY used to occupy.
Possibly also a daily FLL-MSP at some point? Right now, only once daily from NK and 5 times weekly from DL on that route. In addition to 3 daily from AA and 2 daily from DL out of MIA.

I'm booked on the inaugural! The flights were loaded into the system this morning hours before the announcement. A friend noticed MSP on the map on the "Where we jet" page this morning so we jumped on this right away.

Will be running with A320.
I secretly wished that they will run them with E190 with more frequency, but I understand their capacity reasoning. Oh well, can't win 'em all.
Now, it will be really interesting if DL comes back with wide bodies (according to DL, this is their hub-to-hub)

Terminal 2(Lindbergh) is a disappointment if true. That's what I was afraid of. It's night and day from Terminal 1.
I'm thinking about the inaugural as well but I would need to position myself in BOS overnight to make that happen.

It has loaded $89 one way fares in May to welcome JetBlue.

I think JetBlue will do well on this route. Jetblue will be the fourth carrier to operate this route. This route is currently served by Delta, Sun Country, and Spirit.
