So if it's back to the awful design with spacesaver bathrooms, does this mean it's also with the 162 seats (or something like that) instead of 150?

The retrofit was delayed, not scrapped. Crew complaints about the build quality of the lav/galley contributed to that and also helped change from 165 to 162 seats in the final design (that 3 seat shift was announced 18+ months ago). But there was never any intention to scrap the retrofit. Some details about the various delays to the A320 retrofit project are here.

I agree that the new lavs suck. But I'm looking forward to the new seats, even with 2 extra rows on board. The new seats also come with new (and larger) overhead bins, new (and larger) IFE screens and generally cabins that aren't beat to hell. Personally I'll trade the small net decrease in pitch to still have the best average legroom in Y and also no longer fly in a cabin that is so tired.

My main complaint is that B6 is still planning on only doing the retrofits on C-checks meaning a 3 year timeline for the project to complete.

Agreed. Some of the A320s are just really worn out and the new IFE screens along with the new interior is a welcome change

The seats will be slimline, which won't be as comfortable for longer duration trips, but I've found the A321 seats to be fine.

The first tranche of retrofits won't technically be "Airspace" though I'm not sure that matters.

They will be the same seats as on the A321 AFAIK. Agree that they're fine, disagree that they're less comfortable.

I think most B6 passengers want new seats at this point. B6's current A320 cabins are some of the most worn out in the skies. I don't care how much legroom/comfort the seats provide, they are disgusting and worn out. The PTV"s on the plane are older and barely work half the time. It's hard but when I book B6 flights I work around the A320 to get on the E190 or A321 instead.

Good! The old seats are good. If you want a F-lite experience, I'd say just keep the old seats for that. PTVs? They fortunately can be turned completely off.

The new seats are a negative for me. The only thing going for them is that they'll look newer. But who are we kidding, these are US domestic flights.
