@JetBlueFA where did you get that list? Just curious.

EDIT: It's on the JetBlue site

Although all of the A320s have the same IFE, the newer ones have larger clearer screens that don't flicker like the older ones.

The newer ones also have seatbelt airbags in the exit rows.

N800JB and onward are the newer A320s with the Sharklet wingtips.

All E190s should have the same seatback DirecTV IFE.

diburning Jul 22, 2014 9:09 am

Posting from N655JB, A320 named Blue 100, FlyFi equipped. It's nice!

For the purposes of this guide, do you know which A320's have the newer screens (by reg)?

diburning Jul 24, 2014 9:37 pm

N800JB and onward are the newest A320s with sharklets which also have the newer screens as they were installed brand new. The Mint A321s also have the newer screens. The non-Mint A321s are a mix of the new screens and not having IFE at all due to the fact that some were rushed into service.

I don't know whether any of the earlier A320s have been retrofitted with the new screens yet. N655JB did not, but it was equipped with FlyFi and LiveTV.

Mods and others HELP PLEASE!!!

BostonPlanesAndTrains Jun 20, 2016 8:34 am

N709JB has sharklets (possibly new cabin?) as well as N804JB

diburning Jun 20, 2016 4:44 pm

N715JB also has sharklets. Some E190s already have Flyfi as well.

As far as I know, no cabin refreshes yet.

Many do, though I'm not certain the exact number.

Correct. First with the new cabin will be a new delivery A321. A321 refresh will also start after the summer season IIRC. A320 refresh starts next year.

diburning Jun 20, 2016 9:56 pm

What will the A321s get in the refresh? I thought the A320s were to get the same cabin as the A321s.

A321s are going to 200 seats from the current 190 seats. A320s are going to 162 from 150.
Story I wrote with details: https://www.runwaygirlnetwork.com/20...ewer-on-a320s/

RWPrincess Jun 21, 2016 3:51 pm

32 out of 60 E190s currently have FlyFi. It was tweeted yesterday.

I have yet to fly on one with it though.

diburning Jun 21, 2016 8:05 pm

I flew on an E190 with Flyfi last Friday. My return flight Saturday did not have it.

I've added a wiki so that we may update it when things change. I've also listed the EMS rows to help people who may want to figure out where they want to sit.

Speaking of IFE on the 190's...

Almost every flight I've been on with those in the last 6 months, the XM radio has been out of commission. Is there a known issue with this (i.e., waiting for their IFE to get upgraded at some point), or just my luck. In all cases the TV was working, just not the radio. I'm one who often prefers to put that on and read or sleep, rather than watch TV, so I tend to miss it.

I've noticed this as well, either all channels are dead or it's just Hits1 that works...

octr202 Jun 23, 2016 1:58 pm

Seeing your photo reminded me that in the last couple instances, not only was the XM radio completely out, but the map didn't work either. Guess they're related somehow.

RWPrincess Jun 23, 2016 3:18 pm

I've had several flights this year where the radio has been out but the tv has worked. Usually it's the other way around. I actually prefer the radio because I like the LiveMap and to do work or watch something on my iPad.

The first Y200 A321 has been delivered. Added that information to wiki.

diburning Oct 2, 2016 9:43 pm

N966JT if anyone is interested.

diburning Dec 14, 2016 1:44 pm

If anyone's curious about the A320 cabin refresh, it looks like they aren't starting that until Fall 2017.

http://hostthenpost.org/uploads/d197...f81d86d33f.jpg

This was taken from a slide in the Investor Presentation that JetBlue just published.

sbm12 Dec 14, 2016 2:17 pm

Slides were published yesterday. ;)

The first A320 will get the new kit in Q2. After that Summer peak schedule means no conversions during that period. After Labor Day '17 they'll ramp up the mods again.

I know I'm in the minority but the longer the better. While I wouldn't mind the IFE upgrade and power outlets, I love the current A320 seats and hate to see those go. I fly a lot of transcons and I don't like those slimline seats that are on the A321.

I don't think you are in the minority, well unless you are one of the investors :p

BostonPlanesAndTrains Jan 15, 2017 6:16 pm

Anyone have an Update on the A321 conversions. Also wiki updated, 708 now has Sharklets

diburning Jan 16, 2017 7:36 am

A321s should have all been completed by the end of 2016. Wiki updated to reflect this.

BostonPlanesAndTrains Apr 7, 2017 8:16 pm

I feel like some of the newer E190s might have a larger screen. I was stupid and Didn't get a tail #, but it seemed much nicer than the 5XX/6XX screens.

caliform Apr 9, 2017 7:49 pm

What is a 'Y200' A321? Google didn't offer any answers.

EasyD Apr 9, 2017 8:38 pm

It's an A321 with 200 'Core' aka economy seats and no Mint section.

caliform Apr 10, 2017 10:04 am

That makes a lot of sense. Thanks!

JetBlueFA Apr 14, 2017 5:03 pm

The higher 300 tails have the new wider screens. The 190s are scheduled for a refit but there is no time yet

diburning Apr 14, 2017 5:55 pm

Do you have any details on the refit? Will they be adding slimlines to add more seats as well, or simply replacements with newer seats with no capacity increase?

sbm12 Apr 14, 2017 8:18 pm

More seats on the E90s means another FA; seems unlikely to me. Especially given the announcement previously for the A320 and A321 retrofits and nothing announced for either new seats nor IFE changes on the E90s.

Len Schwartz Apr 24, 2017 8:38 pm

Just flew on 506JB and the cabin refresh can't come soon enough. Broken seats, broken tray tables, and the IFE was acting up on it. The only channels that worked were 13 and above.

klanfa Apr 24, 2017 9:37 pm

Contact JetBlue through Facebook/Twitter if you were seated in one of the sub-par seats. They should give you a $15 travel credit for JetBlue :)

OEBB May 15, 2017 8:01 am

Does anyone know the status of the refresh? Someone had mentioned earlier that there probably won't be any during the summer busy season (which makes complete sense), but wondering if they've gotten any done beforehand? I think I saw somewhere that this wasn't getting started until fall. Is that true?

diburning May 15, 2017 3:59 pm

According to the investors presentation, it won't start until Fall.

diburning Oct 24, 2017 10:09 pm

Looks like they won't be refreshing the A320 interiors until after they get the plumbing problems fixed
