Wasn't that called "La Jolla"? It's been years since I was there, but there was a Chicago Hot Dog place just a couple of doors down.

There was, indeed, a Taco Bell in Nagoya. Again, haven't seen it in years, though.

When I was stationed in Japan, the military had a program called Environmental Morale Leave (EML) which allowed personnel one plane ticket per year, I think. Most who took advantage went to the states. Also, there is Space Available travel allowed on military aircraft. I have taken the 747 from Yokota to Osan in Korea countless times.

Speaking of Osan, there used to be a really good Mexican restaurant on the base there.

I think La Jolla was in Ebisu. I went there about ten years ago with a friend. After 30 minutes they asked us to leave because many people were waiting...never went there again.I think it closed..I wonder why.

bento.com has English rest.infoforJapan.

Although Taco Bell is indeed back (and has been since April), I don't think this merits reopening a ten year old thread...
