Anybody else running into a problem with the Cloudflare service for Flyertalk blocking IP addresses from Japan. Seems pretty weird that a site dedicated to flying would use geographical blocking.

Was blocking for me when I was using a certain VPN server located in Japan. Changed VPN service and it stopped blocking me.

How do you know the blocking is based on geography?

You may want to report it here:

Not sure but presumably Cloudflare doesn't block you when you just try to open FlyerTalk - The world's most popular frequent flyer community - FlyerTalk is a living, growing community where frequent travelers around the world come to exchange knowledge and experiences about everything miles and points related. from an IP that I've used many times before to access Flyertalk.

Have not had any issues in Japan either. When I was in Singapore recently I was getting a lot of "verify you are human" Cloudflare prompts, but haven't had any here.

I had Cloudflare block access to FlyerTalk for several months from my work network (US based). We have a single fixed IP address for Internet egress that's been the same for years, and there's only about 6 people in that office. Suddenly one day I was blocked. FT worked fine for me from everywhere else. I have no idea where my work IP address would get flagged like that. I find it unlikely that someone else in the office was doing anything malicious, but you never know.
