Narita Priority Pass Lounges

I see four Priority Pass lounges at Narita covered by Priority Pass (CSR). I was thinking to try more than one.

I start landside and I have about 4 hours to use before I need to report to the gate. My gate is 56 Terminal 1

Which lounges should I check out and which lounge of these has the best food? Do any have showers:
ANA Lounge
ANA Lounge
IASS Executive Lounge.. only one landside?
KAL Business Lounge

Those lounge options are going to be very disappointing. I've been to ANA and KAL. ANA is ok, will have the best food of the bunch. It's decent for a PP lounge but really inferior to the JL J lounge in T2. Mind you it can get crowded and at times will not allow PP visitors.

I visited KAL as a PP visitor some time ago and it was really nothing special. Fine for somewhere to sit but I wouldn't pay, you're better off getting a nice meal in the terminal. Very limited food, not much beyond a few packaged foods.

I think your shower question is answered on the PP directory. ANA lounge had showers but the wait was much longer than I had time to visit (>1hr).

Thanks for the reply. That info helps. I guess I'll just visit ANA for the food and if time then possibly KAL to have a look.

I just got PP for the first time so I don't have much experience with lounges.

I have been to the (landside) KAL lounge in Osaka a few times, though they often claimed to be "full" and refused PP customers.

Packaged foods for the most part (onigiri, bread, cup ramen). There is a beer server and at least in the past, Ballantine's 17yr, which is a better whiskey than most business-class lounges offer.

The last few times (pre-Covid) I ended up going for the 3,000 credit per guest at one of the approved restaurants, which was a much better choice foodwise.

The ANA lounges are often very crowded, and thus reject PP visitors. Though I actually thought ANA had stopped offering PP access

The landside IASS lounge is even sadder than the KAL lounge. Basically just a bunch of chairs and a soft drink machine.

Sounds as equally pointless as the (domestic) Nagoya Centrair Lounge.

possible new airside lounges

Per TRAICY (https://www.traicy.com/posts/20230616271983/), there will be two airside IASS lounges opening on July 12. The article (only in Japanese) says those lounges will accept PP and will serve drinks and food.
IASS does not have a press release yet, so hopefully TRAICY is accurate and they will accept PP.

Even if the lounges are on per with the KAL lounge, it is better than nothing for those departing from T2.

The Korean Airlines lounge was sad, and a third of it was dedicated for KE J class passengers. I took a couple of onigiri, and then went right to the ANA lounge for some tomatoes and Japanese curry.

I read your link, but it wasn't particularly descriptive about food/amenities. In a Japanese airport lounge, if it has fresh vegetables, a main dish, and umeshu, that's good enough for me.

The new T2 lounge will be in the old Cathay location, which always was quite depressing.

Hey guys,

Are the 2 ANA lounges at NRT T1 still accessible via PP? I no longer see them on the PP website for NRT.

Thank you.

As far as I know, both the Haneda and Narita ANA lounges left PP. It was probably for the better, as most people were anyway turned away due to the lounges being busy.

Review of one of the new airside IASS lounges below (not my review):
https://knaviation.net/iass-superior...narita-review/

Looks slightly inferior to the KAL lounge (and vastly inferior to the other airline-operated lounges) but much better than the landside lounges.
