I shared my experience earlier with ZipAir. If you can enter Japan, then no problem and can sterile transit with a small hassle while deplaning. If you can’t enter Japan, best to book a refundable same day transit on ZipAir, then cancel and proceed to your intended flight. ZipAir is quite militant with onward flight also being on ZipAir,

Thanks for confirming - I did consider booking a same day transit on ZipAir. Is there sterile transit between the south and north sections in T1?

There is, the two sections are connected air side.

Looks like some cancellations for GMP - HND are rolling in. Sales stopped for the rest of June and even into July

There was an article in Japan Times saying the Korean prime minister is only coming to Japan in August, and he was kind of slated to be on the first flight.....

Ah I thought there was no news since June 19. Looks like I'll have to cancel. : (

I can ignore all the Travel Center notifications asking me to upload documentation right (e.g. neg covid tests) if i'm just transiting through Narita right?

Hmm, that is not great news as I have a biz award ticket GMP-HND-SFO on JAL scheduled first week of July. May need to start looking for alternatives.

I had the exact same itinerary booked for July 11. Instead, I rebooked for NH F, flying out of NRT. I can snag a revenue connector from ICN on the same day

I've got a GMP-HND-LAX for July 22nd; also looking for alternatives but aside from paying cash for worse options... there's absolutely nothing out there

seigex Jun 16, 2022 9:26 pm

my upcoming itinerary for the first two weeks of July to avoid the HND-GMP issue:
LAX-ICN Itinerary:

AA F LAX-LAS-ORD (arrive @ 5:16am)
JAL F (aa award) ORD-NRT (leaves 12:40pm, arrives 3:35pm)
KE Y NRT-ICN (leaves 5:20pm)

ICN-LAX itinerary:
KE Y ICN-NRT (arrives @ 1:30PM)
JAL F (as award) NRT-LAX (leaves @ 5:20pm)

A bit round about, and I had to pay $240 for the AA flight out of pocket (upgraded with SWU), but it gets me there and back mostly on points

Anyone have experience with T'Way Air connecting to an NH flight in NRT? No bags, wondering about airside checkin for NH at NRT

No, transit only doesn't require you to do any documentation, even on separate tickets. MySOS is only required if you plan on entering Japan, or if your itinerary is requiring entering Japan for transit. What's your itinerary?
