As we probably need to book space at an izakaya somewhere, we need to know a week or so in advance I'll probably do a tentative booking before Xmas, as it will be new year's dinner peak season.

Just wondering if this is still going on? Has the location been determined? Still not committing myself. Not a drinker, so depends on the food

As a place, I would suggest Botan in Gotanda, not very fancy but good food and cheap beer. During bonenkai season they had 50 yen beers. Unlike nomihodai, there is no time limit.

It was a fair bit annoying that this trip came up, but I can't avoid it. The "joy" of work....

I'm not a full time Tokyo resident, and I don't think I've met a single one of you guys, except, maybe @armagebedar . I'll be in Tokyo from 18-27 January and will definitely swing by and meet you guys if the reschedule happens during my visit.
