Could it be due to season? I wonder if they also serve Kohada, Saba, or Aji? Some of my favorites...

Is there a standard way of ordering the sushi in the lounge? Do you just ask for sushi and get the three pieces they have that day, or do people pick how many of each they want?

You can ask for three pieces at a time. You can ask for the defined set of the week, or combine freely. You can always come back for more rounds of 3 pieces.

Any variety to maximum of 3 pieces at a time. They stopped allowing maguro sashimi a while back tho.

Sushi bar menu in NRT First Class lounge

Reviving the thread:

I noticed that the sushi bar menu is currently offering maguro only every other week, and only ~ a week a month there is toro (chu-toro). Time machine shows back in Oct/Nov, maguro was constantly on the menu with chu-toro every other week. As my own data point, when I visited in May 2017, o-toro was on offer. I considered o-toro the most excellent feature of the lounge, and fitting to first class (although I personally tend to prefer chu-toro to o-toro) but it seems gone in the last year.

Question for the regulars of the lounge: Is this a sign of (recent) cost saving measures, or was I just lucky to get o-toro one year ago?

Best,
