Early ITA flight from MIL to FCO to make Int Connection?
Hi. Wife and I want to maximize the time we allotted in Milan, but we have a 10:10 departure from FCO back to DFW Sunday the 14th of this month. Was wondering what is the most recommended ITA flight in order to make our connection? Catching the 06:30 Sunday or the latest flight Saturday night back to FCO? Is ITA reliable enough to spend the Saturday night in Milan?

I would depart Saturday evening and spend the night at one of the hotels near the airport.

It's definitely too risky, unless you're prepared to pay for new tickets if you miss the flight. We've been in the same situation and always opt to be in Rome the night before a US flight. You could spend the entire day in Milan, take an evening flight to FCO and stay at the Hilton located in the airport.

Thank you very much for your feedback! I guess I wasted my money on the early morning tickets........

Just a quick update. Bid $60 each and was upgraded for the last flight out of LIN Saturday night. Got to airport early enough to enjoy a few drinks at the ITA lounge and was comfortable at the FCO Hilton in time for a good night of sleep. Thank you for your suggestions!
