IC Mauritius Master Thread
I saw on ICHG website that the Intercontinental Mauritius resort is opening in 2009. See link below

Does anybody know where exactly it will be and when it is due to open?
I went to Mauritius 5 years back on my honeymoon, stayed at the excellent The Residence which was a fairly new hotel back then, it is now one of the best hotels in Mauritius with prices reflecting that at around £350 per night for a standard room.
Being RA I would love to go back and get the perks such as suite, club access and of ocurse free minibar.
All info will be appreciated.

Hotel opens in Mid November for general testing etc, open for bookings 1 month later around 14th December.
May possibly go in Feb, ANyone know what the weather is like in Feb/ March?
I went few years back in late April and it was cloudy mostly and a little rainy.

My booking is late December. If it isn't open by the time of my stay what will happen?

bookable on www.ichotelsgroup.com, you put Mauritius as country and Port Louis as city. Lets me book since middle of Dec. 2008.
