you're right, of course, if....
1. your fuel is free
2. your liquidation cost is zero
3. your time is worth nothing (drive to the mall, park, walk, walk again, drive to your 'free' liquidation spot, stand in line, drive to bank, etc etc...)

i MS a lot. i calculate real costs though, not fantasy.

as to this PB list- ugh. kinda glad though; as i have other programs I should be staying with anyway (to get over 100 nights with SPG and maintaining top status elsewhere). i'll hope i can get some use out of the Feb list...

Kathmandu has lots to offer. The CP is fine, just the location is not the best.

Glenmarie is a delight for golfers and good for anyone with business in the zones around Subang.

The Indian offers I think include Cochin and Chennai, both great for tourism, and Pune (business and academia). Not sure wha you mean by being more suitable for local tourists - is that a bad thing?

OK, here's a simple suggestion: use some of your 350K points in high cash cost hotels at places not on the PB list. Use cash at "too cheap to bother with Point Break"-hotels. Voila!

As far as I can see, things haven't quite started rolling into action yet. Will check back at 14h00 Germany time.

The HIX Bothell's website seems to imply that the property offers a free shuttle to/from the "airport," (mind you, the property is closer to PAE than it is to SEA, and PAE gets a few mentions in the hotel's description) but their front desk says there is no shuttle (none at all, whether locally or to an airport). Just an FYI in case you were considering that property.

Nope

Last time IIRC they came on-line about 17:00 UK time (in around 4 hrs).

if you know which hotel you want then try to go direct as sometimes the Point break list lags behind.

Good luck.

From my understanding of others' experiences, the start time varies. That said, I just looked up my booking confirmation from this time last year; it looks like the booking page of my targeted property (Intercontinental Cairo Semiramis ) switched over to PointBreaks pricing just after 8:30 am Pacific Time (15:30 GMT).
