RA + FHR @ Palazzo
Wondering what results FTers have had stacking Amex FHR with RA at the Palazzo ?
Anybody tried booking a first night via Amex and then 2nd & 3rd nights using a BOGO ?

I stayed at both Venetian & Palazzo with several combinations of FHR, BOGO and points as an RA.
All the amenities/benefits are normally honoured, i.e. complimentary minibar(capped to $100), VIP lounge, breakfast (no room dining), $100 food credit, late checkout, etc. In terms of room upgrades at Palazzo, I always got the same room category (from the cheapest rates) - Furtuna Suites on the Strip side.
Just once, I had a bad experience with these hotels. I stayed at Venetian for the first 2-3 nights and moved to Palazzo for the rest of the stay. I booked both hotels via FHR and my RA number was added to these reservations. However, I got no upgrade at all at Palazzo (moreover very bad Wynn view & low floor).
I immediately spoke to the guest relations, then was told that they forfeited all the benefits as I moved between these hotels in the same stay! I managed to secure the other benefits ($100 food credit, minibar, etc.), but generally they honour them only for the first room if you move between the hotels. I had never heard of such a rule, I found this alliance hotel a bit dodgy (unlike the Monterucia Resorts).
I would recommend staying the other FHR Vegas hotels even though you have the RA status. You won't miss much (probably only free minibar & lounge), but will get more.
