What is the Ambassador experience in this hotel these days (we stayed there 2 years ago and didn't notice much difference)?
Is there any chance of a significant upgrade and/or benefits?
Thanks.

IC or Hyatt?
I will be going to Dusseldorf for leisure next month, for the first time. Prices are the same. This hotel seems to have mixed reviews, but it seems certainly nicer than the Hyatt and in a slightly better location too. Thoughts?

Location of the IC is definitely very very good. I think the Hyatt is a bit out of the way personally and if the prices were the same I would definitely choose the IC.

But the winning factor is the location. You would regret staying at the Hyatt on leisure (in my opinion).

Having stayed now stayed there for a second time, I can confirm that Ambassador status is worthless in this hotel: upgrade to a high floor room is all that will you get.

During my next stay at DUS, I will try the new Indigo (even if I like very much IC for location, executive suite and club lounge).

I have booked a superior room here for Oct 13-17 at our corporate rate. I booked it a few weeks ago, but wasn't sure I needed it. Anyways, now it's decided I have to go, so I wanted to check and see what a club room cost, but it looks like it is fully booked. I can't change room or rate or anything. So, I am just curious if I as an RA will get club access. It looks like from the latest posts that RA is given choice between Club or bigger room, but I'm just curious if this is still the case, if anyone been there lately.
