Royal Ambassador benefits on reward nights?

Hi, I just booked an award night stay at the Intercontinental in Ko Samui. I was speaking with the hotel and the person I was speaking with was unsure if I get royal ambassador benefits or not for my stay

Does anyone know if I get my royal ambassador benefits while staying at intercontinentals using points? Specifically the club lounge access

Koh Samui tend to be a property that sticks to the rule book alot of the time which means they do not have to provide RA benefits on points bookings.

You don't, in theory. But most will give some of the benefits, though it seems a few will stick to the rules.

Some have reported that booking a revenue night before a points stay will ease you into at least the room upgrade benefit. Though be careful, I once prolonged a five day paid stay by one (reward) night - and got into a silly discussion about when/what time a Coke had been taken from the mini-bar.

This is one of the reasons I prefer to use the 1000 USD prepaid creditcards. They cost 260k and offer 1000 USD for revenue stays with all benefits, perks and points.
