Wiki was copied from 2017 thread
Created WIKI Mar2017 purely to add the "new" IHG PB List URL as I can't find by screen navigation since IHG changed the reservation screens etc, and the old url if saved no longer works either.
Just got fed up trying to find , much easier to store in wiki, hope this helps others
Pointbeaks changed the amount of points needed: This is discussed in this thread: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/intercontinental-hotels-ihg-rewards-club-intercontinental-ambassador/1890423-point-breaks-now-5k-10-15k.html
This thread is about the discussion about the locations and the actual list, please use the thread above for discussions about the increased number of points needed for pointbreak redemptions.

Use this URL for "Live" PB Listing:
https://www.ihg.com/rewardsclub/content/us/en/redeem-rewards/pointbreaks.html
The PREVIEW list usually appears on IHG's blog first

If you feel you are actually benefiting by forking out 15k, largely in places where you get something similar for $100, then I am happy for you.
Vilnius CP, for example, for 10k - whoop-dee-doo! This hotel was a regular on the old 5k list and often has cash rates under €100. A quick search on hotels.com shows several 4* properties in the €60-80 range. I rate that as marginal value at best.
So yes, if you think you're getting a good deal, enjoy it.
I am, however, annoyed that the savings represented by PBs have been very greatly devalued for myself and many others.

This is the new setup now. The old setup isn’t coming back.
Will you be annoyed everytime a new point breaks list comes out?

I think it is refreshing to go back to as 2yearsc agp, no preview OR early full list
1200 NYC/EST is when IHG start updating systems, but it takes an hour or more before all hotels are at the PB rates. Once all adjusted then no doubt IHG will update link to full list
I know with full list before update day, hotels actually soldout before link updated if aspirational (eg a nice IC) as bloggers/spivs preprogrammed their bots
Now not knowing which hotels are included, some bookers may be pleasantly suprised and get in before the spivs, maybe when not even trying to book a PB but genuinely wanting a hotel that goes live on PB at that same date/time

PBs from the new list at the reduced rates were available to book about 10 minutes before noon last time, for me, in USA eastern. But, in the past the list has gone live at different times so don't count on that to repeat.

I have not had a paid stay at an IHG hotel since they changed the program, and I doubt I ever will again.

I think I'm mostly out of the loop this time, although I got hooked few years ago on a perfect IC location. Seattle area hotels are ridiculously priced, and there have been none on the list lately. Better just to stay home, and do the day exploring or camping trips I've ignored for too long.
Internationally, I think I'll be where no one else is going, so my picks will stay live for a few days. Probably right country, wrong city, though. And some of them are 10s anyway.
Ever watch a thousand people spending their cash in the casino? It's entertainment, at low or moderate cost. Same here; the big discounts are gone. But it's still fun to play. Combine with our addiction to travel and exploration, it's irresistible to play.
Good luck, all!

Folks, please stay on topic and do not become personal in your posts. The change in Pointsbreak did not please everybody. But we all have different opinions. Please accept that there are different points of views.

I'm sure someone at IHG monitors this forum. I think it's important that they see that some of us are very unhappy with this decision. .....I want to make it clear that the new PB set up has led some of us away from IHG.

If you haven't earned enough points to make the new regime interesting to you, I doubt that IHG is going to be too concerned about you.
