Lots of big points increases ... Looks like lots of big, big increases in lots of places

Overall, not as bad as it could've been. Some of the IC's going up to 60K (ie, Bora Bora) was expected. Some, like the IC in Monterey, CA, were a little surprising.

Not really a surprise. The 50k limit had to go at some point. When you look at what Hilton done a few years back it could have been a lot worse.

I think we all expected them to go up. A few decreases as well and there appears to be around 30 IC which have gone up to 55/60.

If they're going to charge 60K points for a night at an IC, they need to honor all Ambassador and Royal Ambassador benefits...

If we book now for a future redemption, would the points requirement change or do we get the rate posted right now? Sorry I do not have a lot of experience in redemption with IHG.

You will get it at the current rate if booking befor the 17th.

According to the list there is exactly 200 decrease and 200 increase redemption rates.

Decrease by 10K points - 12 locations
Decrease by 5K points - 187 locations
Increase by 10K points - 42 locations
Increase by 5K points - 156 locations

Most of the ones in Florida are increasing! lovely lol including one that I had just found close to home to use on a more consistent basis, only 2 i think were decreasing.

Interesting to see that De La Ville Rome is going up to 55000 points - some great joined up work from IHG!

(and how can the Hotel Indigo in Santa Barbara ever be worth 50000 points?)
