ihg website needing login every time

I find that I must log in to ihg's site every time I go on it. Does anyone have it set up so that it remembers who you are and automatically logs in?

Normally use safari on the mac, but also have the same problem on IE.

Bit of a pain to enter the username and password each time.

Chrome can retain your passwords if you choose to. But can it protect them with a Master Password, like Firefox can?

I use Firefox for remembering my passwords because I've been able to protect them with a Master Password since before Firefox existed (back when the Mozilla browser was called Netscape!).

Depending on how you get to the login, safari will either remember or not your saved password. Other site, like FT never ask for your password, if I only log in from my laptop, then there's no real security risk. Even eBay and paypal allow that - far more risky in my view.

I presume you're using Safari because you're on a Mac. Is Firefox not available for your Mac? Firefox is great at saving passwords, and like I mentioned, making them secure via a "master password" if you wish.

Or, if you want/need to continue using Safari for some reason, does it support add-ons/extensions? If so, perhaps there is an add-on/extension that makes password saving better than off-the-shelf Safari?

IHG needs to change the password requirements. 4 digit PIN?

Safari will remember passwords but it only works on certain login forms on IHG's website. You can choose your password in Safari by clicking the little 'key' icon in the 'password' box and choosing the username associated with the account from the list.

I use chrome and while it doesn't keep me logged in on IHG, it does remember it and all I have to do is click the password box ad it fills it in. Annoying, sure, and I don't have a problem with the Pin, kinda like it as its short and i can make it whatever I want.

Firefox on Mac is pretty good about usernames and passwords, but not 100%. There are some sites where it will not remember either, and some sites where it is hit or miss. The IHG site is in between: neither field automatically populates until I enter the first digit of my account number, then both do. Who knows?

Haha, I guess IHG thinks a little over 5,000 combinations is secure enough.
Totally antiquated!
