There have been reports of mail-in entry emails being sent out on 12/4 and 12/11, and the emails came in rapid succession. This is indicative of HelloWorld batching these out.
Initially batches of emails sent out was on Fridays but as of of 1/6/16 appears to be Wednesdays

STATUS:
--As of 1/19/16 10:00 am et(estimated) all plays were showing up as no wins. . The play site seems to be undergoing maintenance. Best not to use up the majority of your plays until things smooth out.
--As of 2:45 pm ET on 1/19 play site appears to be back up.
--as of 4:17pm ET on 1/19 500 point plays seems to be working again. No 5B prizes seem to be won at this time
--As of 6pm ET on 1/19 emails being received for wins during the morning hours of 1/19 where it stated no win after select elevator.
--As of 2:30pm EST on 1/20 still reports of nearly 100% 500 pt wins only. Best not to play alot of plays unless you only want 500 pt wins
--As of 8:00 pm EST on 1/20 multiple reports of 5B prizes being won again. Seems to be back to normal.
--As of 2:00 pm EST on 1/21 reports of $50, 2k, 5k, 1k pt wins (unsure of free night wins)

The contest rules state that your MasterCard account must have been open when the contest started. I've been considering opening one for my wife for the same reason, I doubt Hello World has the time or ability to check the account opening dates for each entry, especially with how far behind they seem to be.
I've read posts of others using credit card numbers belonging to other people and receiving email game plays. So using a Mastercard account opened after the start of the promotion might only be a problem at the point of prize validation. ?

A cumulative 10k in points posted and I received emails for my two $50 gift cards. These expire on the last day of the sixth month following activation, so June 2016 for me. I drained them against my cell bill so not an issue but be cautious in planning activation if you win.
I won my 5 Group B prizes so nothing but 500 points or jackpot from here on out.

i'm guessing with another short week...and the fact that they are busy awarding out prizes already..i'm not expecting many emails tomorrow...probably another 1-5..although based on how long they were taking i'm guessing they should be giving me at least 9(for my mailed in entries from 11/19)...if they were on track.

I really don't care for the emails as I have only managed to redeem for twenty entries than my 94 that were sent in NOV while others who mailed them in Dec have received theirs.
Plenty of us who did the same would be thrilled to have just 1 reply back, let alone 20.
And, at this point, it appears all this data coming in is only useful to show that Hello World has no rhyme or reason as to when they'll be responding to received entries. Completely arbitrary.

11/29 I mailed in 20. I got 3 entries last week and 6 more this morning. I also tossed another 20 in the mail last week. I have the remaining 54 all ready to mail just have to put stamps on them. Glad to see them trickling in.

Received 11 more emails this morning. If they are processed in the order I mailed them, then these are from mailings on 18 November and 25 November. Nothing so far today on my wife's account. She had several emails last week from a 01 December mailing.

from the 2 different times ive received emails...i got one set at 12/18 11:38 am est and 12/23 7pm est...so i'm hoping there is still time for me to receive mines today..haven't so far..

They are actually sending the email to the address listed on each entry.
The email does not have to be associated to your IHG account.
They are not just reading the IHG # on the card and sending another entry to whatever they inputted the first time in their database.
I received 1 on one email and 6 on another. Partway through sending entries, I decided to use a shorter email address. I started getting entries with this new email. The link in the email is the same. So this means a few things:
