IHG Aliiance Resorts
Earlier this year for 24 or 72 hours (whatever it was), IHG offered the Venetian and Palazzo for 25,000 points per night instead of 50,000 points per night but haven't seen them do it again. I plan on going next year and obviously would like to get the cheaper redemption rate.
Was this something they do/have done every year? Any idea on the chances they would do it again at some point?

It has happened twice in the last year I believe (as I took advantage of it both times). Looking at my reservation confirmation emails, one was dated 30 October 2014 and the other 10 March 2015.
Let's hope there's something similar soon.
