a)gen info
b)an FAQ page
Well wording is "75 qualifying nights" and not "75 paid qualifying nights" in one link and "75 nights" in the other
The phrasing is same same as for Plat at 40nights (requirement down from 50) and as we all know since Jan 2013 changes Award nights whilst not being qualifying nights , do increment the "rolling nights stay counter" and count towards the current 40/50 nights needed for current Plat elite status.
Since phrasing for both New-Status and Plat is the same, I'd expect since award nights count for Plat, they will similarly count for New-status , as will rollover nights

I'm 2 nights or 2K points away - all earned the hard way. Should be clear after next week. I really hope the new tier level is going to be worth!

I am thinking the new level should be 100 nights or 100,000 points earned the hard way. That way the benefits could be worthwhile. Maybe most of you agree?

I've technically qualified (living in a HIX 4 nights per week does that pretty quickly), and am awaiting the status change with bated breath...

I would say it depends on the rewards offered by the new tier level. I'd make 100 nights by August anyway. The issue I have is whether the loyalty is going to be worth it.

I'm not quite there yet but will be by July 1st
from what they have said the only changes straight away will be the25k/gift plat and 100% bonus and they will announce on July 1st further changes that will take effect from he start of 2016.
I do hope any enhancements will be meaningful otherwise it is a bit pointless tbh.

It seems like they are going to be worth it. Double points and 25,000 gift plus probably going to offer free breakfast for 2 as a new tier benefit option.
