It's not even splashed across the IHG website at the moment - in fact I couldn't even find a mention of it when I had a quick look for this programme change. Very quiet indeed. Only a few more days to go so we'll know soon enough.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 4.4.2; en-us; LGL31L/V100 Build/KOT49I.L31L10d) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Chrome/30.0.1599.103 Mobile Safari/537.36)
Not necessarily July 1. The website states the month of July.

I am close to the new tier but have no intention of switching some stays this weekend to IHG or any other stays in future where those hotels are more convenient - until I actually see what the new benefits are. I am expecting little to be given on July 1st due to the "more coming in 2016" statements on the website.
I'll probably get there anyway around mid August, but see no point in artificially accelerating this in the last few days until know if it's worth it eg. free breakfast which for our leisure bookings would be quite worthwhile.
One benefit i'd love that I don't feel would ever happen commercially due to property ownership would be free access of the gym/pool at my nearest IHG so can use when not staying the night and drive up brand loyalty both locally and when not looking for a hotel. eg. drive up footfall of higher elites in IHG properties when not staying over.

So for non RAs member gets extra points at all brands, whereas an RA just get extra pints at on-IC brands
Seems everyone is booking hotels for wrong reasons !! I book my hotels based on convenience of location to where I need to be after leaving hotel each morning. I can easily cope without a inclusive breakfast for having a more convenient location
Remember IHG historically has used points as the carrot to boost stays not guaranteed room upgrades, breakfast and that is unlikely to change

I agree. I was staying at a Four Points well within my company limit as most of the other company guys stay there (Comradery). But as the hotel is well below what I would expect from an SPG hotel, I've decided to move to the IC. Its above my company rate but a heaps better hotel, and only 10 mins further away from my office. Well worth it as an RA
