Booking on TravelPony counts as a stay?

I was wondering if booking through Travelpony would count as an eligible stay toward elite status. Especially if it would qualify for the big win!

If a discounted price to IHG's website rates unlikely to be qualifying, if similar price you have a good chance if you make sure you get your member numer added at checkin time.

You can't have both a big discount and a qualifying night with points, although even if discounted most IHG hotels will still provide Platinum benefit of room upgrade.

Nowadays, bookings through third party website are unlikely to qualify for anything with IHG and no points either - this is from personal experience.

There are definitely exceptions, such as when booking with AMEX's travel service.

Did not get stay credit on my latest IHG stay when I booked via TravelPony but Platinum benefits were recognised at Crowne Plaza.
