Is the 2-4-1 rate really gone?

Looks like that, I checked several hotels 2 days ago now they're not bookable at that rate.
In addition I have checked numerous hotels where 2-4-1 is almost
always available, nothing
Seems like 3-4-2 is also gone

Looks like Exclusive Prepaid and Friends and Family are also gone
so maybe they are just updating their systems, let's hope

for other specific rates eg RAC , you would be expected to show RAC membership, although hotels never seem to ask.

Yes, and no, with few exceptions 2-4-1 stopped working except during weekends, but like you say it got better and better.

Annoyingly if staying say a week, you have to split your booking n two, weekend and midweek to get the 10% off choice.
