Wow, I was just downgraded as well. Earlier today I was still Platinum
Platinum 2014 card received, congrats mail as well, etc. Kind of funny they did that to promise one would be platinum that early. I could have easily earned it with my remaining stays but chose to qualify for Marriott Plat with my remaining 2013 stays instead because IHG informed that early I would be plat anyway
I'm not really bitter or anything because Marriott Plat is just about the same for me as IHG plat would have been, maybe even better. But how can a big company like IHG be managed so poorly that these things can happen?
