Looks like the absence of a system-wide promo in the last few months of 2012 may not have been a one-off.

Looking at the next promo, the stay x get y is quite interesting, as once it gets to the stay 5 nights get 10,000 that and all the ones above it work out the same with the extra 5,000 points for every subsequent five nights.

Kinda my point in post #1257. I do disagree against characterizing them as the same though. If you register with "Stay 5" you'll get every benefit that the higher stays offer, whereas if you register for the higher stay offers but only wind up with 5-9 stays etc you would get NOTHING.

I replied yesterday with the full text of the identical "stay 5 get 10" promo that I got, but that post got moved to the discussion thread (as I bet yours will too).

It is my observation from experience, where I have had BRG claims, they showed up as non qualifying with no points.
I did get some points, but only on the actual money spent (meals).
I have only had 1 night BRG stays, so you may get points etc on subsequent nights, but I don't know.
However, as we knoiw with IHG, YMMV.

making the right choice in I. Qu. Promotion
Comparing the 6 codes described before for me it seems just the choice between two of them makes sence:
If you are not sure to reach 5 nights between 07.01. and 30.04.2013 you should use
Code 5521
If you reach at least 5 nights between 07.01. and 30.04.2013 take
Code 3414
All other codes cruising around let you start earning promo pts just later than with these two.
So you are with 3414 (or 5521) faster in save earning range than with compareables.
After reaching the 1st earning level you are not worster handled than with the others ...

Now I've found the infamous thread, I wonder how it escaped me...

Now what caught my eye was the date range. Not an exact quarter year. So I'm wondering if this is just a morphed version of the previous Stay XX, Get XX. Or is this the general promo for the new season, and tailor made for each member. Kind of how Marriott does their promos.

Does someone knows if some 'book online'-codes still work? I've tried all the code that I could find on the Master Promo Thread page, but not a single one is accepted...
