1300 points short of Plat - any options?

Turns out I've miscalculated - Before the last stay I calculated I'd have just enough points to qualify, but turned out to be 1 night short . Ended up with ~59k points and no travel plans through the year - and since I've gone to gold, would be useful to seize the opportunity and try to get Platinum as well.

I know I could buy the missing points for $30 I think - though not sure if that's possible for non-US members (I'm from EU). Any other options? (alraedy did the surveys and most of the partner programs are not really an option as they're US only). I've a decent balance in Hyatt GP, but as I understand no way to easy transfer these?

Why not try some survey?

Usually you can do only one survey from the group, but sometimes you can use several

Someone got their fingers burnt last time during March-May.

Use the system fairly, not abuse it.

I'd suggest hitting up the PC Mall and sending someone flowers before I bought points. 25 points a dollar is hard to beat and someone will think you are very thoughtful....

Also, are you signed up for E-Rewards????

Are you enrolled in the Priority Club Rewards Dining program?

I guess the cheapest way may be to find someone else who also needs the points for status, then transfer them to each other.

(That is assumining that transferring points out doesn't count against status, but transferring them in counts towards status).

They don't work for me anyway (I've done the English one already). And so far I haven't signed up for e-rewards yet(haven't got an invitation, either).

OP is in Europe, didn't think there are restaurants in Europe participating in this.

A bit tight time wise, but getting a Priority Club Barclaycard would get you 25000 points after first purchase and billing cycle ... even if not for this year, a good start for the 60000 you'll need to earn next year to keep Platinum for 2012.

You might want to browse through the master promo thread for other ideas you have missed.

Some people ran the surveys multiple times, and got points credited multiple times.
Then PC locked lots of accounts for investigation, and revoked points.
Use only one survey from a group, and don't be greedy.
