How to know reason for flight cancellation
Hallo,
My flight 4Y11 from Cancun to Frankfurt on 1/Nov was cancelled on short notice, and Lufthansa did not provide any kind of support a part from reissuing the ticket for the next day. Now they reject to even refund the hotel and taxi costs because my name doesn't appear on the receipts.
They refuse to share the reason of the cancellation, so that I am not sure whether I am entitled to the 600 compensation and/or refund of expenses. How could I have access to this information?

Lufthansa doesn't publish that information publicly (to the best of my knowledge), so you'll have to get it through some legal means - I'm not sure what options there are in Germany. Based on research of the plane assigned - D-AXGF, it didn't leave Frankfurt for Cancun, and flights the days after to Calgary were also cancelled, so at first glance I'd say it's a mechanical issue with the plane. Were other flights leaving Frankfurt and Cancun that day?
