SEA - BZE, thoughts on which programs to focus on for business class travel?

Hi! Going to Belize in early 2018 for a special birthday. Would love to travel business class using miles.

Do you have any suggestions on which programs I should focus on for getting the award travel?

I am essentially happy to fly whatever airline.

Thanks for any input!

Are you talking which airline program or which credit card program?

So you want an award flight in business class SEA-BZE in about 12 months time?
Have you looked at which airlines fly that route? [Put "SEA BZE" in google]
And then if those airlines are frequent flyer partners of other airlines?
Do you have any ff miles now? Which airline?
Credit card points that can be transferred to a ffp?
Awards start to become available 353/330 days out (depends on the airlines/ffp's)
Getting to a warm location in winter on ff miles is hard. People will start to be looking now and will book as soon as a award redemption shows.
I suspect you are about 1 year late in starting collecting ff miles (unless you have a lot banked now)

Each of the big 3 airlines fly to BZE:
-DL only via ATL daily and LAX on some days of the week. ATL is flying a bit out of the way.
-UA via ORD & IAH with multiple flight options.
-AA via DFW, LAX & MIA (Out of the way) Upside to AA's program being the anytime awards at higher mileage amounts.

Either really. I have some cards (Amex, Saphire, etc). I am just not versed in how points translate to airlines if that makes sense.

Thanks much for the thoughts. I do have 108k CUR points. Maybe there is a way I can use those. I did look at google flights. Does it give you ALL the airlines that fly there?

Thanks - I will look at those airlines to see what might work.

What ffp's are you a member of now? How many ff miles/points?

Awards assistance tools. These give a guide on ff miles needed. Availability is from the airline ffp web sites/phone
Use at your own risk. These may not be up to date. (These are not recommendations)
Award flights are never guaranteed. You need to be flexible with date and route.
Frequent flyer miles/points are not equal to or burn. They are not 1 to 1
If a multi segment award check the rules/cost carefully. With some ffp’s it can be 2 or more awards or cost more ff miles/points than a direct flight.
If the award is on partner airline it may cost more miles/points than an award on the ffp airline.
Some awards/airlines/routes can have cash surcharges, in addition to real taxes.
