earning miles issue
hi all
I am kinda new to all of this but feeling really frustrated. I booked a V class flight with Turkish airlines (Flights all begin with TK something) with the Van-TOR legs operated by Air Canada (Ist-Toronto-Van and return and return): YTO YYZ 26 July TK8645 11:15 14:45 V Economy Operated by AIR CANADA YTO YYZ YVR 26 July TK8694 20:15 22:10 V Economy Operated by AIR CANADA YVR YMQ YUL 23 August TK9101 12:00 19:50 V Economy Operated by AIR CANADA YMQ YUL IST 23 August TK36 23:05 15:45 V Economy On the return leg, I needed to make a change in the date of my booking. I was misinformed by the call centre operated (based in India) and was told that T class was higher than V class. I booked the change. YTO YYZ 11 August TK8695 13:30 20:59 T Economy Operated by AIR CANADA YTO YYZ IST 11 August TK18 22:25 15:15 T Economy I have been told now that AC changed the class (unbeknown to me) for those legs and that i am not to be awarded any miles for Toronto-Van and return. I am now informed by Turkish airlines that no points can be awarded as it's an 'invalid fare'. Can anyone here make sense of this for me? At least for the V class flights shouldn't i get full miles awarded? Grateful for any advice, even if it's to say i need to get over it:) Cheers |
Are you trying to credit to the TK ffp?
On Star Alliance the operating carrier fare class determines ff earnings. The fare class of the operating carrier does not a match the fare class of the marketing carrier (flight number) http://www.wheretocredit.com/air-canada www.wheretocredit.com/tk |
