- Cross-program advice — questions involving multiple programs or which don't seem to fit in any one forum
If you're a new FlyerTalk member, we recommend familiarizing yourself with some of the site's resources before you post. FlyerTalk is a huge place, and we know it can be a bit intimidating at first, so we've created a Resources Thread and Wikipost
with links to help you learn your way around.
When visiting a thread for the first time, it's a good idea to see if has a wiki. Wikiposts usually provide a summary of the thread discussion, the newest and most accurate info to date and/or an index of links. They might also provide instructions on the best way of navigating and using the thread. Just look for a Wikipost title bar at the top of the thread page, and maximize or minimize the contents by clicking the [+] or [-] button in the right hand corner of the title bar:
We have also compiled a comprehensive list of flame-free threads on FlyerTalk
. If your question relates to a specific program, you will get much better results if you post it in relevant forum's flame-free thread (also known as newbie threads).
If you're still not sure where your question belongs, post it at the Information Desk
. No question is too stupid!
If there's a better place for it, we'll simply move it to a forum that can provide the most knowledgable answers and advice.
