First class from JAI to BOM: worth it?

Is buying a first class ticket from Jaipur to Mumbai worth it?

It's a short flight, and I'll be just fine in economy. But I'm an airline geek, and while I've flown both Jet Airways and Kingfisher in the past, I've never flown their premium cabins, so I don't know what kind of service indian airlines provide in F.

I couldn't find any useful information on Jet Airway's web site regarding their service on this flight. All I understand is that there is supposedly a lounge in JAI.

How are the seats, how's the service? I was favorably impressed last time by the food in Y, is the food in F a step above? In other words, would you buy F just for the experience or is it a complete waste of money?

There is no first class from Jaipur to Bombay unless you take a train.

See the Airlines of India forum for experiences in Jet Airways business(Club Premiere). A recent thread at http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=840450

How come?

I see the following options:

Flight Depart Arrive Special Fares
(No Refund) Check Fares
(Restricted) Check Fares Economy Première
9W376 Jaipur
Sun 08:10 Mumbai
Sun 09:45 N/A USD 87.00 USD 102.00 USD 195.00 USD 359.00
9W372 Jaipur
Sun 20:40 Mumbai
Sun 22:20 N/A USD 87.00 USD 102.00 USD 195.00 USD 359.00

There is a first class (Premiere) and it's 4 times as expensive as economy. (FWIW, these fares are misleading anyway, they don't include a hefty fuel surcharge.)

Thanks for the link to the other forum though, I wasn't even aware that forum existed.

Edit: now I realize you meant there's no first class, only business class Then again, Premiere literally means "first" in French

Anywhere outside the US, business class is what they call it. Not "first class"

It isnt that worth it .. very short flights anywhere within India (though at times, congestion at a busy airport like BOM can tack on an extra 20..45 minutes onto your trip).

Smile rhetorical question

why would you take a c class ticket for a 1 hr flight?

take your newspaper/book and you ll land any minute

i think it s a waste of money/miles and not worth thinking of unless you need extra miles etc

Waste of $$ for that route, though Jet's domestic Premiere service is pretty good in comparison to NA carriers.

Its not worth it at all. The Economy seat should be fine. Way better than US or euro airlines in domestic. They will serve you almost a whole meal even in an hrs flight. save ur $$$$$$$$$$$$.
