Cheaper way to send Excess Baggages
I am planning a trip from Coimbatore (india) to San Francisco (USA) in June. I am moving back to USA and I have a lot of Excess baggage to carry with me. I am not sure how much I could carry with me as excess baggage. My friends suggest that I should use a commercial courier service to send my extra baggages. Would that be cheaper? Anyone have experience with this kind of a situation?

The topic is not really related to SQ. I am moving the thread to the India forum.

Approach a moving company to arrange everything. Airfreight or unaccompanied baggage requires quite a bit of paperwork on both ends, especially when you want to clear customs stateside. You will quickly realise the excess baggage fees are peanuts in comparison ;)

Unfortunately, they didn't wish to stay there and moved back, so haven't had the opportunity to move back everything so far! |
