No arrival lounges in intl for EK in BOM. AI will send you to the gvk lounge on the domestic side which is rather nice. EK also uses a contract lounge for J/F in BOM.

Travel club is of the same standard, only significant difference is that there is no winodw to look out of. :)

INTL-INTL connection, no checked bags
Hi, I'm arriving on UA 48 from EWR at 2140, connecting on a separate ticket to SIN on either SQ423 departing at 2325 or AI flight at 2350 (I have a back-up award on TG flight leaving at 0240).
I got my e-visa for a single entry and have hand luggage only - if I arrive on time on UA, am I risking it for the SQ flight? Thanks! |

Does anybody know how AI 144 (EWR-BOM-DEL) works in terms of transfer at BOM? I've read the wiki but I am not sure if BOM-DEL segment is treated as a separate domestic flight or not and haven't been able to locate an appropriate thread on this.
Google Flights lists a transfer time of 2:50 but the flight number is the same for EWR-BOM and BOM-DEL. I'm asking for an older lady traveling alone and was wondering if the transfer was something doable for her. She'll be traveling from EWR to DEL on one ticket in J. If it requires immigration, customs, check-in, etc. then it's probably too much trouble for her. |
She will just deplane and change aircraft in DEL after a security check. Luggage will be checked thru to the final destination, immigration and customs takes place at destination.

A really good arrival/transit service offered by BOM and DEL is GVK pranaam and Allways. It's well priced and they take good care of you. Wheelchair service is probably best reserved for PRMs

You can transit airside, so 2h is enough.

An abuse of this service would be people like us using it to get through immigration/security quickly. But if there is a separate paid service available, that is a good option too, though probably an overkill just to change gates in the same terminal. |

It makes the whole process completely worry-free for them.

Actually wheel chair service is meant for anyone needing assistance through the airport. That is why it is available to everyone. In fact, when booking the wheel chair they usually ask if the person is immobile or not. If immobile, the passenger is dropped off and picked up all the way to/from their seat, otherwise just to the gate.

hi, I look at the thread and the wiki, but just wanted to make sure this makes sense.
I arrive BOM at 2140 on UA48 from EWR and am thinking of connecting to SQ423 at 2335. I realize it's tight, but I have hand luggage only and will be able to check-in on-line (I also have an Indian visa). Assuming the UA flight is on reasonably on-time, should I be ok? Thanks! |
I/I MCT in BOM is one hour, you connection is legal. UA will ask for your Indian visa at checkin in EWR if its on separate tickets. Online checkin will not help much as Indian rules require validation of the paper boarding pass by the airline before you enter transit security,
