Connecting in BOM was never even a consideration.

Thanks for that - really helps - I never even considered S2. I was nervous as the last Jet Flight from UDR to DEL gets in at 18.00 but in case that is cancelled then there would be no other way back to DEL in time for the BA256 to london

i'll look into S2 - does it go from DEL T3?
