Travisa Outsourcing Harassment

I applied for 10 Years Multiple Entry Tourist Visa to India. And, I clearly stated on my application that my dates of travel. However, when I got my passport back not only the length of visa granted was wrong, the visa given to us was expiring during my stay in India.

Here is what I got from Travisa on my visa approval

Travisa Outsourcing has received your passport (application #....) back from the Indian Embassy/Consulate. We have verified your visa has been processed correctly. You applied for a Tourist Visa. Requested duration of visa is 10 Years Multiple Entry.

Your passport is being sent back to you via the following method: FedEx."

Besides, Travisa's Manager at Chicago office (Kim Conway) had an attitude first time we talked to her. Please, let me know if there are any other stories out there like me. If I can find some more people who have suffered like us, I would take legal action against Travisa so they do not harass people any more.

That's called a "mistake", not "harassment", and you don't even know if the mistake was the fault of the Indian embassy or Travisa (although they should have checked it).

So has Travisa offered to get you the correct visa?

Wirelessly posted (Palm Treo 650: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows 98; PalmSource/hspr-H102; Blazer/4.2) 16;320x320)

I must agree with jpatokal. It seems like the "attitude" is not only coming from one source here--how exactly did Travisa "harass" you? They did make a mistake by not verifying the visa properly, but to fix that you call back and speak to a manager, not file a lawsuit.

I find Travisa's online application process a PIA and don't bother with it (I just fill out the PDF form directly), but that's the only beef I have ever had with them. For 11 years, I've routinely used them for Russian and Indian visas, plus whatever other random countries I need visas for, and they've never screwed anything up. I use the DC office.

Based on past experience directly with the embassy I think the fault lies there. They screwed up my passport number on the visa.

I see no evidence of "harassment" here at all.
