9W Perfume

Just took a recent international Premiere class trip on 9W, and was surprised when I was given a nice 100mL bottle of BlackXS by Paco Rabanne! Very nice and classy touch, I have to say! Is this one of the new amenities? It was given separately from the usual kit, which had the regular Bvlgari perfumes (which I am now stockpiling). :)

What route did you fly?

I was on the EWR-BRU route. Maybe Paco was doing this as a marketing gimmick to hit Premium airline customers?

I am flying to LHR in a few weeks. Will update if they are also giving on this route too.

Just remember you are HON (apparently 9w respects this, unlike LH themselves, who treat HONs worse than SENs), are in touch with 9w staff directly, as well as 9wPlat, and tend to fly F... (albeit, not on 9w, EWR-India)

Thus the treatment.

Did any other pax receive the same on board?

The above would be interesting data points for further analysis.

@superflyboy - that's what intrigued me. You'd think that I'd get better treatment due to the aforementioned by you, but interestingly enough, this Paco cologne and perfume was given to the people around me as well. Now, I cannot confirm whether the entire Premiere cabin got it, but from what I saw, that was the case. As I mentioned earlier, it could have just been a marketing gimmick aimed at premium customers. After all, even if you don't like it for yourself, who's going to refuse a $50 bottle of perfume? :D

I agree that trending passenger treatment based on characteristics such as those mentioned might be an interesting project for some of us. If someone is doing such a thing, I'd be happy to help!

And finally, on the ex-JFK routes, they are running the A330's and not the 77W's, right?

Well, that's the interesting part now, they were proffering the perfume/gift to others as well!

I wish I was on board too! ;) :p

However, Jet has a tradition of rewarding their premium/elite pax occasionally, and they *are* charging a premium to fly on this routing, at least ex-India, BOM-EWR, as compared to LH, with whom I have been flying.

I have tried to make changes to their product as well, and it works some of the time...oh well!

I wonder if other FT'ers flying on 9w will be able to chime in as well, in order for us to further analyze this behavior!

Yes, as I understand, all North American routes are being served by A332.

However, if GF has wet-leased some aircraft in the past, and if Jet is forced to accept them back (without turning them around with another airline), I would gather that they would have to put them back on their heaviest trafficked routings - not sure if it would be the NA routes!

They are getting their 77W's back at the end of the summer. One of them is going on the DEL-LHR route where the flight will go to a daily 77W instead of the 3 x a week.

Not sure where the others are going. I would assume on the NA route as LHR will be covered by 77W's from DEL & BOM. Unless they have found alternative wet lease partners it will be interesting to see what happens.

I think they will put them on the NA route and move the A332 to DXB and SIN which are served by 737's right now. these were served by A332's before Jet leased the 77W's out.
