Hi! I'm on my wits end here, I'm trying to figure out which earning table should I follow for a AI6070, which is a flight from IST-DEL, Operated by TK. Should I follow AI accrual or the Turkish airline accrual?

Is there anyone who actually flown on a AI codeshare flights?

Thank you!

TK will translate the AI codeshare booking class into another and report that back to your FFP. I have flown AI codeshares on LH and SQ and was sort of OK with no surprises, but in general its buyer beware.

I regularly take this flight and book via AI. As a codeshare i earn 2821 miles on either program in Y. Never purchased from Turkish so cannot confirm on the same.

then you follow the ai accrual....but as ccu_flyer said, the earnings on both are similar, so it shouldn't matter anyway....

There is a difference actually, for Business Class (C) if you would earn based on AI it will 200% of the miles flown, but if it will earn based on the operating airline which in case of AI6070 is Turkish airline, it would only earn 125% of the miles flown. For Flying Returns it says there that for codeshare flights you would earn based on the mileage accrual and booking class of the operating airline. So I did a customer call, and It seems you would earn 200% for that flight, hmm call me skeptical but I'm not 100% sure on the customer supports answer. Thanks Keyser!

Slightly adjacent to the topic:

I recently booked and flew TK on BOM-IST-COO-ABJ, credited to AI-FR. The other viable option for me was ET, which offered lower earning ratio in Y.

I may have a couple of J trips in the near future and would opt for ET over TK for the basic reason that they credit 200% compared to TK's 125% / 150%..!

For BOM, there is also an option of MS on their B737's.. But not for DEL!

Thanks for the info GuyFromBOM, would you mind telling us how did AI-FR credit the mileage to your account after you have completed the trip?

I made sure to add AI FFP to the TK booking. It was there on the PNR while booking, was there on the Boarding Pass, reflected the correct status and was promptly there in my account in 24 hours of the flight!

No issues with the AI and their *A partner's systems. I don't yet have my card to prove my tier, but the boarding pass reflects it perfectly. ^

Check the AI-FR thread for troubleshooting options.

If you are booking on the AI website, after you login and select the flight, select the Pax & FFP # and then click on 'Calculate Mileage'.

That's accurate enough for an AI codeshare on TK operated flight.
