baggage allowance

hi I'm flying into india from australia with singapore airlines, whose baggage allowance is 30 kilos. but from my flight from delhi to amritsir it is 15 kilos. should i be able to get free baggage allowance since the flight with air india is less less than 2 hours difference from when i arrive in delhi.

to be sure, it is best to contact both airlines.

but most likely, if it is a single ticket, your international allowance will apply.
if it is separate ticket, your usual domestic allowance should apply.

2 hours is a very tight window for tansfer from internation to domestic in ANY country especially on separate tickets

since it's on a separate ticket, you cannot apply the larger baggage allowance for that flight. However, you can get an extra 10 kg allowance just by signing up for AI's Flying Returns program:

Baggage help with FF

Hi I'm flying domestic in india next week and my baggage is only 15 kgs. And i have been told if i made a account with the ff it will be changed from 15 to 25 kilos. but you have to fly once before it comes in use. if i am flying from melbourne to change to delhi, would that be counted or not.

this is air india's policy. and no, as long as your FF number is shown on the account, you have access to the 10 kg extra.

So im entitled to free ten kilograms, even if i fly them for the first time and also no i asked them to send me a ticket with the ff number on it but they don't do it, they send it without the ff number

raj123 Dec 19, 2013 8:40 pm

Yes i did that but sir, but it doesn't show the ff number on three of the tickets, I have rang them with no help at all. should this be a problem or would this show up in their systems at the airport.
