they do say that but i know a bunch of people who have signed up & flown for the first time with the extra allowance....

I was flying AI last week BOM-CCU.. Was told by the ticketing agent at the airport that the 10kg allowance is not available anymore for Base members.. the check in counter agent wasn't that well informed.. he allowed me the extra 10kgs.. YMMV..

I wonder if that is an upcoming change... or just another clueless agent. Their track record would suggest the latter, since things hardly ever change at AI. Then again, they are hoping to join *A so maybe they will *enhance* their FFP

a friend of mine flew bom-del earlier this week....i told her to sign up with flying returns to get the extra 10kg for her flight & she did....she got the extra baggage allowance & there was no mention of the benefit not being available for base members anymore....

it seems to be that this is probably a case of the check-in agent making things up....

It's AI.. people make up rules as they go along..

carry a copy of the brochure which lists elite benefits, it clearly says base members get 10 kgs too

I've never had a problem with a separate ticket with 24 hr of landing in Mumbai... I arrived on DL @ midnight and took the AI flight to AMD from the international terminal and it not even a issue.. check the AI site, they still interline or ask a AI agent, I just flew back a few months ago.. not even an issue. Safe travels

I tried search on AI website but could not find the info.

What is the baggage allowance for Star Gold member for domestic travel on AI?

Upto you. Usually in India, number of baggages is not a restriction.
