the 2.5k thing looks too good to be true!

IAH-LAX 2500 miles
IAH-SAN 2500 miles

Has anyone actually redeemed on these sectors?

Hang on to those 2.5k hopes

Um, i dont see JFK, LGA etc even listed in the dropdown on the JetPaise online partner award request form, forget about seeing the miles requirement - most of the ones i looked showed as 15k. Am i missing something, or do i need better glasses!

there is a partner award chart available for download somewhere on the jet site....download that & it will tell you which sectors you can redeem for 2.5k miles....

I learnt something new, this is fantastic deal. Jet is giving away award tickets at 2.5k miles, no one else does that. I have some orphaned miles in Jet and was wondering how to use it. I will try this.

Did any one redeem JP Miles for short sectors (Like the one Keyser mentioned) recently?

Found it:

NORTH EAST USA & CANADA 1 - Baltimore, Boston,
Chicago Ohare, Detroit, Montreal Trudeau, New York, JFK,
Newark, Philadelphia, Toronto and Washington Dulles

SOUTH EAST USA & CARIBBEAN ISLANDS 1 - Atlanta,
Kingston Manley, Memphis, Miami International, Orlando
International and Tampa

SOUTH WEST USA & MEXICO 1 - Dallas Ft. Worth,
Houston, Los Angeles, Phoenix and San Diego

NORTH WEST USA & CANADA 1 - Denver, Minneapolis St
Pl, San Francisco, Seattle and Vancouver
Flights betw the cities in the zone, for 2500 Miles.

But when you look at, for some similar short(er) segments, the 15K miles are required.

And if they keeping dishing out these awards at 2.5k a pop, they'll probably have nothing but fumes left to carry on. Do the levy fuel surcharges at least? (even if AA etc don't on domestics....?) Wonder how much they have to reimburse the operating carrier on these...?

they have some crazy pricing....last year for a redemption ticket they wanted more in taxes than the fare united was charging for a revenue ticket....
