Indigo has to do 3 things.

1. Let it's staff know about these partnerships.
2. Have better integration in place W.R.T. tickets, PNRs and what nots
3. Explain how they are 6th largest airline in the world.
4. Explain why when profitability is up 12% did the losses increase by almost 50% - can't be all fuel

Both for Vistara and more so for Indigo I think this was an obvious thing to do. Especially given AI doesn't care about *A or growth. And there's no Skyteam or Oneworld domestic partner.

AI could have easily leveraged it's network and govt. clout to partner with any *A airlines landing in India. Especially when Indigo was beginning to threaten its dominance.

Is this even worth considering for a flight to SIN? Or just pay the SQ “tax” and don’t look back?

As with most things - it depends. Amongst other things is the fare difference and what that means to you. 6E has those slim seats on most international flights and that makes it terribly uncomfortable travel for anything over 2 hours for me. Other than that that it also depends on what kind of premium you place on SQ's service, flight timing convenience etc. Also for cheaper tickets on 6E you don't get any food. Which on a long flight can be an issue and a cost.

Also depends what class of service on SQ! ;)

I was seriously impressed by Indigo. But more from a process and operations perspective. In terms of pax comfort I would not fly them for more than 2 hours.

Supposedly the staff called in sick because they were interviewing with Air India.
