Paramount grounded flights - what does "M" code stand for

Noticed 2 Paramount Airways aircraft (yes, the ones that have been grounded for failure to pay dues or some such thing) at MAA this morning. The aircraft registration codes (usually, VT-PAA, VT-PAB, etc) have been overwritten by a code that reads M-xxxx (xxxx were some stuff I can't remember). Distinctly remember the "M" code, though.

Looked up http://www.travel-images.com/aircraft-registration.html, and funnily, "M" doesn't exist as a code. Any idea what the M stands for?

With Paramount's prevailing fracas with their aircraft financing company, maybe the aircrafts are headed back/ shifting owners now. A standalone 'M' (followed by the remainder of the registration) looks like an Isle of Man aircraft registry.

Oh and looks like they have/ had some Airbus orders on the cards as well. Don't know what happened to that...??

Its the new Isle of Man registry set up a few years ago. It comes under the umbrella of the UK in terms of ICAO conventions.

Wonder why, in that case, they've ordered 17 new aircraft only last week...and they were planning to start international on similar configuration - 2x2x2...
