i would suggest anyone taking a connecting flight to check whether they have been credited with their flight counts correctly....

Which should mean that you earn Jet Platinum 10x over in a year instead of just 5x! lol

when i fly del-bru-jfk then that counts as one flight....

similar for the del-kul sector where i have to change flights in maa....

but then again ymmv....

Thats cheaky and extremley harsh.

Interestingly when i price up lhr-bom-hkg, it states that miles earned are just over 14K which is taking into account 4 flights (LHR-BOM, BOM-HKG, HKG, BOM and BOM-LHR) so why do they count DEL-BRU, BRU-JFK as one flight even though you are taking connecting flights with different flight numbers?

Very, very cheeky, but what can we do? Rebel? :p

On a related note, what would be the cheapest domestic route in premiere? DEL-IXC comes in at around 10k in Premiere. Any other route that is cheaper?

because you have tecnically bought one sector....if you stop at brussels for a day or more than your ticket price will increase....this way its 2 sectors....

very lucky....not for me....they show the miles earned seperately but the flight count is not for 2 flights....

as i said before, if you have a layover that lasts a day or more then it will count for 2 flights....

But you have not bought one sector......DEL-BRU continues onto YYZ and BRU-JFK originates in MAA....so you are actually taking 2 separate flights which connect in BRU so you should get 2 sectors......

.....unless i have missed something then please do correct me

You are correct.

i agree that you can make a number of connections from bru, but that doesn't change the fact that you have still bought one ticket....

all my del-jfk flight on jet have got me one flight count....if someone is getting a diferent result then i can't comment on that....

Anyone else getting the same result as Saad?

No. :D

(He should have gotten the 2 flights!)

I just get shafted with EWR-BRU-BOM, each and every time, and when you work on segments (captive or dedicated market of Jet (domestic)) you are a second-class elite....

Im sure there are better options to get similar tier points but a lot more miles for slightly more than 10K.

I'm up for it - anyone want to join?

That's what I was thinking - you were getting shafted, dude! :td:

Hi,

I think they have a strange Procedure for Calculating Miles. Not sure, if i am wrong. I took a flight from Del - AMS - ORD and as per them, i was given Miles DEL - AMS and then AMS - ORD as they are under Different Sectors. I Asked them, if i Reschedule the Flight from Del - XXX - YYY - AMS and then AMS - ORD, how many Miles i would be able to Collect?

They replied Still DEL - AMS and AMS - ORD....

Huh...not sure, How they Classify that?

Any replies would be appreciated. I am Planning to make Few Trips and i would not be Afraid to pay more, if i could get Miles worth the money i would spend.

Not to mention - I took KLM in K Booking class.

Thanks!!
