Crazy that they're going to be able to fill a 350. Wonder how much cargo is playing a role.

Sorry is this is common knowledge - any hope of Iberia restarting this route and has it typically been seasonal or year round? Thinking it's a good Avios opportunity.

So, the schedule for W23
THU departs MAD 1200, arrives NRT FRI 1010, returns from NRT FRI 1220 arrives MAD FRI 2020 SAT departs MAD 1200, arrives NRT SUN 1010, returns from NRT SUN 1220 arrives MAD SUN 2020 SUN departs MAD 1200, arrives NRT MON 1010, returns from NRT MON 1220 arrives MAD MON 2020 So they will need 2 frames (between Sat-Mon) to operate this schedule. They just received the penultimate A350 the other week, so perhaps the timed the resumption of the Japan route for Oct when the last A350 is delivered/ready to fly? Seeing as the TYO route will be the longest (especially with Russian air space restrictions) then it makes more sense to use/wait for the NEXT A350s. |

Have found 7 flights that day with 3 rows of PE: 107 EZE 151, 153, 155 BOG 307, 311, 303 MEX There should be 9 NEXT so wonder where those two are assigned... Unrelated, The Oct27th inaugural from MAD arrives NRT Oct28th. But there's also a 27th NRT-MAD on sale, but no 26th MAD-NRT. So the 26th MAD-NRT will be a non revenue/ferry flight? |

Will IB282 NRT-MAD, with the polar routing booked at 15hrs50min, be IB's longest route?

It was already the longest route in the network by far. Highly doubt there will be any far-east flights with Russian restrictions.

Looking at BA5/6 and BA7/8 (similar always-east routing), then using ANC and TBS-TNA to approx the route...
A map from the Great Circle Mapper - Great Circle Mapper MAD-NRT ~7500mi NRT-MAD ~8500mi |
Hmm, my U and I etixs are showing 3 pieces but MMB is showing 2.
Baggage allowance checking tool https://www.iberia.com/es/luggage/al...aggages-search does think it should be 3 (for both no IB status and Oro) Is this a TYO thing? When I put in Platino it says 4, was expecting 5 (3+2). Funny if really checking 160kg of baggage... |

An an idea of the on-board offering in business:
