I decided to go all softly softly and therefore wrote asking for a statement for my insurance company confirming the bag is delayed- through the generic Iberia complaints/compliments webform (not sure if you put anything in the claims section of worldtracer?). Got an autoresponse saying will be attended within 21 days, which is quite pathetic anyway, and nothing since |
Ok so here we are day 32. Still no bag. Still no confirmation of delayed bag for insurance (no response to complaint at all), still no reimbursement for either interim expenses or bag contents (given it’s now beyond 21 days so can be officially declared lost) phoned and all i got was a “very sorry, still searching for your bag, please put in a complaint” beyond frustrated |
Did you report the lost bag after your last flight? I believe that unless you have that paper you won't be able to get very far with reimbursement.

Got a useless response from Iberia CS yesterday. Will send in my receipts and list of contents and wait another 30+ days while they come up with a creative reason not to reimburse me |

nice little brucey bonus I suppose- almost twice as much as I claimed for although given we’re at day 70 already, the idea of waiting another 45 days for them to mail a cheque to the middle of nowhere is a little annoying... (there isn’t even anywhere for me to cash a cheque around here...) |
Glad you're finally getting some closure. It took me like 3 weeks to get my check here in the US.

This sounds like my AA complaint. Lost bag early July, got minimum reimbursement required by law maybe 7 weeks later. Filed a complaint re very poor customer service 9/17 and haven’t heard back. Confident I will never see bag again.
