Consumer affairs denied the claim saying

Why would the 3 night length of stay and promotional period have to do with whether or not it is a cheaper rate bookable elsewhere? How do you suggest I push back? Has anyone succeeded after getting this kind of push back?

If you’re staying 3 nights I don’t know why that would matter.

I’d call the BRG phone number rather than via email.

Thanks! I called and they did indeed honor the BFG. Unfortunatley the third party rate had gone up (still lower than Hyatt) so they only honored it to that price despite the screenshot showing the lower rate from earlier that morning.

This is a new reason for rejection for me: "After researching the claim details you have provided, I was not able to validate your submission as we are showing you have multiple reservations for the same date at different properties." The agent went on to say that apparently I can only have one reservation for a particular date in order to be able to submit a claim.

Tried for a BRG for one room for 4 people and got this reply:

I am unable to approve your claim as the room type confirmed does not match what was found on the comparison site. You compared these room types:
Marriott Reservation: Studio room with 2 queen beds – Maximum Occupancy of 5 guests
Comparison Source: Studio room with one bed - Maximum Occupancy of 3 guests
Note: The comparison source did show the one bed studio available for 4 guest but the hotel fire code will only allow 3 guests in this type of room.

And my reply:
I rechecked the comparison source and no where does it say that it is for one bed. The reservation is for 4 people. How would they be allowed to rent a room only allowed for 3 people to 4 people? That makes no sense. Room rate says studio standard with no mention of the number of beds or type of beds. So what would happen if I booked with this company and show up at your hotel with a confirmed paid for reservation? Is your hotel going to break fire code or are they going to give me a room with 2 beds?

I went back to the website and changed the reservation to 2 people and the room typed changed to King bed. I did this after I sent the email. During these times you would think they would take every reservation they can get.

Sorry, my mistake. I searched best rate guarantee and this was the only thread that came up. I did not realize that 2 different chains had the same named price matching program. I found this right thread now. 🙂

Hello Greetings,

Grand Hyatt Bali is putting promo in their hotel specific, and can NOT booked via WoHyatt web
Their TnC is price for Indonesia Country Citizen and PR.
The Promo IDR 988k ++ is lower than any Package program I can find in WoHyatt.
https://loyaltylobby.com/2020/08/17/...ens-residents/

But I am citizen Indonesia , and had already book via WoHyatt,

Claims have to be filed within 24 hours of making the reservation. What is the cancellation policy? It should be 24 hours prior in which case you could cancel the current reservation, book a new one and file the claim. If they reject the claim, don't give up it comes down to persistence sometimes.

what is your matching website that was submitted? The blog site? I would think they won’t match booking directly with the hotel since that would be a hyatt booking channel anyways, but I could be wrong. Plus having Indonesian ID is probably considered “not available for the general public”.
