Thank you Peter. I've got a long stay in DC and was hoping to find an easy way to find hotels that have Regency Clubs. I'm surprised at how many don't have clubs. I think a thread listing all the Hyatts with clubs would be very useful, but I see that would take a lot of work.
|
Note: In the first post of this thread - we've included links to the Confirmed Diamond Suite Upgrade & Club Quality Review threads for ease of locating.
|
Thanks Markie for coming up with the idea - we've implemented within this "Property Index & Review" thread links to property comparison (for a city or an area) threads. The format shall be CITY/AREA: Hyatt Regency vs. Grand Hyatt etc. So far we've retitled threads for Denver, New York, Shanghai, Tokyo, and Toronto. We're not doing extensive searching for other similar threads but if you are aware of any, please call our attention to them and we'll retitle & link accordingly (please do not be offended if we retitle "your" thread). Links to these threads will be right after the Properties Indexed for an area (ie Denver HR vs GH thread will be at the end of the Colorado list of properties while Shanghai PH vs GH thread will be at the end of the China list of properties).
Hopefully our members will find this initiative useful. |

Minor tweak: this should read "Highlands Inn (formerly Carmel Park Hyatt)".

No more new information about new HYATT properties?
Maybe... Park HYATT Taichung? or what about the Grand HYATT Kaohsiung.. it was on hold, but it has opened under the name "King's Town HYATT"... does it have to do with HYATT?? Or maybe about the Grand HYATT Frankfurt am Main or the HYATT Regency Dusseldorf... what about Mallorca? I thought they're going to open a hotel there... or Andaz Amsterdam??? |

Many of the announcements of new properties are too premature and never happen, hence they do not get listed in this thread until at least an opening date is set or they're actually open. |
Property List reconciled today against - https://www.certificates.hyatt.com/W...lidHotels.aspx .

HP Long Island/East End now open?
http://www.travelweekly.com/Travel-N...n-Long-Island/ I think it's cat 2. It was 8k points for a std room when I tried a random date in Aug, but it's not yet in the cat list. It says "now open" on the web site. It is in the certificate list. -David |

Relatively major update today - added the Avia properties to the Full Service Hyatts - and the Sierras to the Hyatt Place / Summerfield Suites section since they along with the Summerfield Suites are destined to be renamed Hyatt House (the only exception is Sierra Green Bay which apparently is to be a full service property).
|
Update: Summerfield Suites & Sierra properties have been renamed Hyatt house today.

Would it be possible to include the full thread description for the "Hyatt Grand Champions Resort"?
It took me some time to figure out that this is now the "Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa"... |

Thanks and a suggestion--include tier # of property in parentheses
Thanks for creating and maintaining this list. A nice addition would be adding the tier number in parentheses next to each property.

Thank you for the suggestion - we'll consider it - would require quite a bit of work maintaining it since categories shift all the time. Maybe there would be a way to include the information without so much maintenance.
|
I've just updated the index - there are quite a few additions in the Hyatt Place / House section. The one major change is that links are in place to properties that may not have opened yet (eg the Andaz Tokyo) but have an official website and have an award category assigned. Listing is reconciled against - https://www.goldpassport.com/gp/en/a...ry_display.jsp .

2 new China Hyatt's. Moderator can you add Park Hyatt Changbaishan and the Hyatt Regency Changbaishan so that one can provide reviews on both properties?
Thanks |

Thank you. I will add this property to the index when I'm on the laptop, it's very difficult to edit from iPad. As to the review, we would appreciate any comments that you may have (please start a new thread and I will edit the title if needed and put a link in the appropriate place).

There will be a new Hyatt Place coming to Emeryville, CA (in addition to the Hyatt House already located there)
